This achievement underscores GVI’s mission to foster genuine cultural exchange, champion ethical travel, and create lasting positive impact across our global projects.

We’re excited to announce that GVI Expeditions won the Innovation Award at Africa’s Travel Indaba 2024! This award celebrates unique and exciting new products in the travel industry. GVI Expeditions in South Africa are run in conjunction with Bushwise Field Guides, offering guests a more immersive experience than your typical safari.

GVI was once again named one of the best international volunteering providers globally by GoAbroad. The GoAbroad winners are determined by the collective reviews from real-world program alumni. Reviews are used as a way to verify organisations, get valuable feedback about program experiences, and also recognise exceptional programs.

In 2023, GVI received one of the Go Overseas Community Choice Awards as one of the best travel organisations and providers in the world, in the fun category. With over 13,000 providers on Go Overseas, GVI came out tops for having the most fun, social scenes as part of a volunteer program abroad.
