Program overview

On this rainwater harvesting and water security program, you’ll assist in enhancing water security in Fiji’s Dawasamu region. Surrounded by pristine beaches and serene mountain landscapes, Dawasamu offers a peaceful escape from urban life, providing an idyllic setting for your program.

While in Fiji, you’ll take part in various activities such as setting up waste management and rainwater harvesting systems, all while fostering connections with local community members and building friendships across diverse cultural and geographical backgrounds.

Based on the community’s current needs, you might work on water projects like managing freshwater, ensuring water security and promoting hygiene. These align with broader goals like improving health, empowering education and sustainable environmental management. Alongside these projects, participants also have the opportunity to undertake the activities mentioned previously, contributing to a holistic approach to community development.
